The Need and Relevance of Studying Vedas And Shastras in Today’s World
Authors(1) :-Dr. K. H. Rajesh Kumar In the Indian tradition, the Vedas and Shastras are the oldest and most profound scriptures, encompassing not only spiritual teachings but also a vast array of scientific knowledge. Despite the loss of much of this knowledge due to historical invasions, improper archiving, and the oral tradition's decline, the extant portions reveal significant insights into various scientific disciplines. This paper emphasizes the relevance of Vedic knowledge in contemporary times, demonstrating its applicability in fields such as agriculture, geology, environmental science, hydrology, astronomy, biology, acoustics, and more. By exploring selected Vedic mantras, we uncover ancient methods and principles that can contribute to modern scientific advancements and problem-solving. The preservation, study, and dissemination of Vedic knowledge are imperative for leveraging this ancient wisdom to address current global challenges.
