बौद्धिक संपदा एक अत्यधिक प्रतिष्ठित संपत्ति बन गई है, जिसका मालिक वित्तीय लाभ उठा सकता है। उच्च शिक्षा ने नए ज्ञान की खोज पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया है, जो बौद्धिक संपदा में तब्दील हो सकते हंै, लेकिन कानून, उच्च शिक्षा नीति, और संविदात्मक जुड़ाव खोज प्रक्रिया में शामिल लोगों द्वारा बौद्धिक संपदा के स्वामित्व के लिए स्वामित्व या अवसर निर्धारित कर सकते हैं।
