This research explores ancient wisdom found in the Mahabharata, examining its teachings on motivation and control and how they can be applied in modern contexts. The study delves into the Indian philosophical perspective, where motivation is seen as an intrinsic quality of the Self, driven by moral values and inner knowledge. By analysing various Sanskrit shlokas from the Mahabharata, the paper highlights the importance of instruction, responsibility, leadership, and unity in motivating individuals and maintaining control within organizations. These insights offer timeless guidance for contemporary leaders, demonstrating the relevance of ancient teachings in today's world.
