Abstract

This research examines and compare multifaced growth of female students studying in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas located in rural and urban region, with specific growth on all of the five dimensions of Holistic Development. Which are : 1.Cognitive , 2. Emotional, 3.Social, 4.Physical and 5. Moral Development. This research seeks to entry whether terrestrial area creates any variation in complete development outcomes of females register in these KGBV schools meant for socially and educationally disadvantaged groups. The strategy assume for the study is descriptive and very comparative and familiar in climate. A sample of 250 female students were selected from these schools of Meerut, Ghaziabad and Hapur districts of Uttar Pradesh through Random Sampling. Data was collected through a self made Holistic Development Appraisal Questionnaire, and statistical technique such as: Mean, S.D, and t-test were used for analysis of this study. The results of the study says that there is no significant difference between rural and urban KGBV schools with respect to holistic development and its dimensions. This discovery shows these KGBV housing schools provide a proportion and position nature for complete all round development of female students regardless of their rural and urban location. The history have very important social suggestion as they support the role of KGBV schools in minimizing the areas and socio-economic disparities, build up females self-confidence and value orientation , and contributing to extensive national object of inclusive education , women empowerment and social justice.
